Form 502CR allows Maryland residents who work in another state to claim a credit for taxes paid to the state in which they work. Claiming this credit avoid dual taxation on such income by preventing both Maryland (the state of residency) and the other state (in which the income was earned) from taxing the same income. Make sure to fill out this form and attach both the return you had with the other state and your Maryland return (filed with Form 502) to redeem this credit and avoid facing dual taxation.

Form 502INJ may be used to file an injured spouse claim by a taxpayer if the taxpayer’s injured spouse has already filed a joint return on which the spouse verifies that he or she owes a debt. In addition, in order to file this claim, the spouse must attest that he or she received an income from a Maryland source and demonstrate that payments were made (estimated tax payment or withholding).
