Virginia Individual Resident Income Tax Return
Residents of Virginia file Form 760, the long version of the Virginia Individual Resident Income Tax Return. If you are a part-year resident you should file Form 760-PY, but may be required to also file Form 763 if you made any income in Virginia while living in another state. Virginia Credit for Tax Paid To Another State
Schedule OSC is supplemental schedule that should be filed with Form 760. Schedule OSC allows residents that work in other states to claim a credit for taxes they paid to other states. This credits avoid income that was earned in another state from facing dual taxation by Virginia (the state or residency) and the other state (where the income was earned). If you paid taxes to other states, make sure to file Schedule OSC, to avoid dual taxation, and attach it to Form 760, to complete your Virginia return.
